Click on Add New Category and your sub-category will be added.

To add categories to your WordPress menu first, you need to hover on Appearance and then click on Menus from your dashboard.

After coming to the menus page first, you need to choose the Menus where you need to add your category. You can select a primary menu or create a new one.

Then you need to click on the Categories from the “Add New Item” section. After clicking on the Categories, if you didn’t see any of them, then click on View All.

Check the boxes beside the categories you want to add and click on Add to Menu.

Now rearrange or drag & drop the menu items as you want. Click on Save Menu from the bottom and you’re done!
